Meet Margie!
Margie Herman grew up on Amelia Island, Forida and spent her days at the beach or the pool. She began her Infant Aquatic Survival instructor career in 2003 by teaching her granddaughter, then 6 months, how to survival float.
She opened a successful swim school in Valdosta, Ga., before relocating to Inverness, Fl., in 2021 where she teaches aquatic survival to young children before progressing them to fun groups and strokes.
She holds an Internationally recognized certification through Infant Aquatics, American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer, National Drowning Prevention Alliance and National Swim School Alliance.
Margie is well educated in teaching children the survival techniques that take them from recreational swimming into swim teams. She instructs with your child’s learning style in mind. She knows Infant Aquatic Survival gives your child all the protection they need around the water and considers teaching swimming a gift that lasts a lifetime!
“My goal is to not only teach your child how to survive if they were to find themselves in an unfortunate situation in the water, but to teach them the skills they need to increase their abilities and confidence as a swimmer.”
“Our son and daughter both started in the survival swim program when they were around age 2.
They came without any swimming background and were somewhat timid and unsure of the water.
The positive changes in their swimming abilities and confidence in the water since we started are astounding. They have the skillsets to be safe in the water and the confidence to push themselves to continue to develop as swimmers- all while enjoying it and having so much fun!
Margie is such a joy to work with. She’s so patient with our kids and challenges them while making things fun. I am so thankful they both had the opportunity to learn to swim from her. She has certainly helped foster their love for the water at a young age.
They are both fish that we can’t get out of the water!”
